I have 4 points why:

1: Hype. If they do manage to "gather enough points" a lot of people will buy the game early. Not only the people who were going to buy it anyway (me), but this campaign is going viral through the internet, Guarantying new customers, which brings me to my next point.

2: Money. not only will Valve generate capitol from the sales of Portal 2, but they also make money from the discounted indie games they're advertising and selling.

3: Customer Relations. This will not only reinforce Valve's relationship with their current costumer base, but also form new and equally as faithful customers from this incredible campaign.

4: Company Relations. Not only do both Valve /and/ indie companies create income from this collaboration, but in games like Audiosurf, there is a Portal Gun as a playable avatar, this not only increases the drive for customers to play the game, but also opens up future game possibilities between the indie companies and Valve. \

that's why I think Valve is Ingenious.

To start, I must tell you my mother times the coffee machine for insane times in the morning, so this mistake was well placed. It was 2 am when I woke up to the sound of a coffee maker dripping, dripping, dripping. It drove me up the wall. I got up, and walked down the unreliable rickety staircase, creaking, I knew that I was being the opposite of stealthy. My sister, Maggie, dressed in her princess pajamas, opened her door, and said, "John, what are you doing?" I said I was just going downstairs to turn off the coffee maker, it had woken me up.
"Can I come?"
I said sure, but only if she promised to go right to sleep after. With her promise tightly secured by a lock and key, I picked up my 8 year old sister, and we went down the stairs. What was waiting for us, we never could have foreseen.

The bodies of my parents were quite possibly the worst sight I ever had seen. My mother, in her red dress that always gained her the wrong kind attention, and my father in his bathrobe, arms flayed like a crucified bank accountant had a shocked look on his face. "Mags, go up stairs. Now."
"But John, I. I. Mom?"
"mags. Now."
The little girl just sank on the floor, and cried.

I heard a clanking sound coming from the kitchen, and I heard a rough voice saying, "Shit! Kids!" and two men dressed in black turtlenecks with a green snake embroidered on the back, ran out of the screen door.
I grabbed the nearest thing I could, an old blue umbrella, told Mags to call the police, and charged head first into danger.

No one could run faster then I, with my 15 year old agility , a burning feeling of pain and excitement resided in my stomach, and an adrenaline rush like nothing I had ever experienced, caught up with the burglars. I beat the closest one, a man in his forties, over the head with the umbrella, he swore, and turned around, producing a butterfly knife. He charged me. I hit his hand with my umbrella tip, causing him to drop the knife. The other, turned around, pulled a gun. And fired.

My last thoughts were the blue and red lights on street. And of mags. Now all alone. I felt sorry for her. Wished I could have stayed alive, or had her die with me. Not for her to be left alone. An eight year old with an idiot brother.
And then. Nothing.

Well, I am almost 15 now, and I am back! seeing as time has passed, so have my interests, tastes in music, and stuff, so don't be shocked if the main theme of this site is no longer Bionicles and World of Warcraft.

Hi, sorry it has been a while since I posted.
Ok so I am very interested in this game called Go. This is how I learned about it.
So I went to the book store with my dad. We were looking for a bass player magazine with a Geddy Lee interview in it and while we were in the magazine section I picked up an issue of Shonen Jump and there was a bit of a comic called Hikaru no Go and it was about Go so I got interested in it and two days later I went to the book store again and I got a book called "The book of GO".

My mom and I played about ten games just now -- very fun, I would recommend it.

Rush! Snakes and Arrows Tour

I went to a Rush concert last night and it was really fun! I was really close to the stage, too. My step-dad took me. It was in Irvine, not too far from our house. I was nine rows back from the stage. I can't even describe it, it was so awesome. It was very loud. I wore my Rush shirt. In the middle of the show there was an intermission and they changed their clothes. Right before the intermission Geddy said they needed to take a break because of their extreme age. Also Geddy had a video camera and he was taking a video of everyone in the audience so the Canada people could see what the America people were like and right in the middle this woman come up to him on stage and was trying to talk to him in sign language or something and he said "I'm busy now, go away."

It was the best night ever. It was just so awesome!

Last week i got a homework page where i had to write a fable and here it is:

Seleon and the Ugly Dragon
by Henry

In a time long ago, when dragons ruled the skies and giants ruled the mountains, there was an old knight who understood all of what the trees said and what the grass said. But he was destroyed by a Giant. The knight's grandson, Seleon, planned to set out on a quest to avenge his grandfather. To do this he had to go through the Mountains of Doom. The Giant lived in a cave on the tallest mountain. Seleon took his sword and provisions and departed.

Five days passed. While Seleon was on his journey he met a Dragon. The Dragon offered his help, but Seleon refused for the Dragon was an ugly being. The Dragon said, “I do not mind being refused. Take this grass, for you may need me someday. Whistle through it and I will come to your aid.”

As Seleon approached the cave, the Giant came out and asked what Seleon was doing there. Seleon replied, “I have come to avenge my grandfather, the knight you killed.”

The Giant laughed. “Youngling,” it said, “You have neither the strength nor the courage to defeat me.” And he smote Seleon off the mountain. Luckily for Seleon, he landed in a thick patch of daisies. As he lay there the daisies spoke to him: “Heed what the Dragon said!”

Seleon got up and took the grass out of his pouch. As he whistled though it, a single ear-piercing note flew from his lips and the Dragon appeared.

Seleon said, “I am sorry I refused your help before. You seemed ugly to me then, but now I see that your help is golden.”

When they reached the cave, the Dragon kicked down the giant's door and breathed fire throughout the cave. And when the heat dissipated, they saw only the smouldering remains of the marauding Giant.

Now that his grandfather had been avenged, Seleon felt at peace. He knew his friend the Dragon would always be there with him.

Because Seleon joined forces with the Dragon against the Giant who had killed his grandfather, he learned not to judge people, or dragons, by what they look like.

Blintzes

I made a blintz for breakfast today. A blintz is like a thin large pancake with heated cream cheese in the middle, all rolled up with syrup on it, or fruit on it if you want.

First, you take a half-cup of pancake mix. Then you take a 1/4 cup of water, plus a little more. And an egg. And you mix that up all really good so it's thin and swirly and sloppy and glushy and smooshy.

Then you butter a bigish frying pan and heat it on lowish heat. Then you pour the batter in and let it cook and then you flip it with a spatula and cook it a little longer. And you put a couple of spoonfuls of cream cheese into a bowl and microwave it for about 10 seconds. And then you put the blintz on a plate and you glop the cream cheese in, and fold one side over the cream cheese and then roll the whole thing up. Pour some syrup on it, get a fork, and then devour!

I had my birthday party today. It was really really fun. It was a good sunny day -- perfect for what I was doing. It was a swimming party, and videogames, and water balloons, and fun. My actual birthday isn't until the 27th, Wednesday after next. My mom, dad, and stepdad are going to give me presents on my actual birthday. A good number of friends came. Nathan and Laura, Fargo, Kasey and Chipper, Sam, Cierra, Cassidy, and Daneesha. Plus me makes ten children.

We had cherry pie and pizza and deviled eggs (I made the deviled eggs). I had a pinata that looked like a black dragon.

I got 4 bionicles, metal puzzles, a dragon egg with a dragon in it, water guns, and a $45 gift certificate to Boarnes and Noble and a really cool bookmark!

Fierce Celtic Warrior

I'm sorry I havn't blogged for so long, but here I am now.

I made some Celtic Warrior Gear today. In my History book, there are stories about the history of the world, and there is an activity book that goes with it, you know -- coloring, projects, quizzes, etc. And so I made a Celtic Double-Bladed Axe. It's made of a wrapping-paper cardboard tube, some cardboard for the blades, and string, and paper, and glue, and tape, and a blue marker (optional). First we cut out the blades, and then we covered the cardboard blades with white paper. Then I had to go to karate. But when I came back, I colored the blades with blue marker, swirly and circley designs. And then my mom cut slits in the cardboard tube and I slid the axe blades right in there. And then we put some string in a X-formation to keep the blades attached, although it's kind of coming off right now, so I'll cut some slits in the blades and re-wrap it tomorrow.

Then I started making the Celtic Dragon Brooch, which is really cool but it's kind of hard to describe. It has green and red and blue marker on it in an abstract dragon design. It's made of cardboard and rubber cement and tape and paper and markers. And a pin on the back, which I just taped on, although the instructions said to hot-glue it but we couldn't find the hot glue. And the cloak is just a towel -- any towel will do. You spread the towel out so the short ends are facing to either side of you, then pin them together over your shoulder with the brooch. And tomorrow my mom and I are going to get something to put blue designs upon my body, and then I will be a fierce Celtic Warrior attacking the Roman badguy!

omelette

I did lots of great things today! One of the great things I did was this morning I had an omelete! My first omelete in life. I loved it. My mother made it for me, and it had tomatoes and cheese and omelete in it! I played a lot of Ocarina of Time today. I am so far! I think the last time I blogged was when I had two of the three Spiritual Stones. Now I have all three Spiritual Stones, the first Medalion, which is the Light Medalion, and I'm working on getting the second which is the Wood Medalion. It is very hard getting it. I haven't got anywhere close to it. And I am Adult Link, yay!

I downloaded the latest version of the Lego Digital Designer, which is version 1.6 but I liked 1.5 better so I will reinstall it.

I played a very little bit of World of Warcraft -- not much though. I finished one quest.

Well, my mom will read me a bedtime story now. We finished Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang two nights ago. It was very good!

I found this awesome new video today. My mom saw it first and she thought it was so funny! And then I saw it later and I thought it was also very funny. It's this guy who does all these dances to little snatches of tunes. And it's really funny! And I've tried to dance along with almost all of the dances.

Evolution of Dance

They've announced what the Alliance race will be in the expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, for World of Warcraft. And since I haven't posted for a while, I have a few thigns to tell you.

Zinny got to level 45. He got Zorbin's Mega-Slicer. Kara got to 42 with her Druid, Animala.

And I've been playing a lot of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time lately. I got the first two stones and I'm working on getting the third. And then, I think, I have to go to Hyrule Castle, I'll get the Ocarina of Time, I'll learn the Song of Time, and I will become Adult Link. And that will be cool!

Well, my mom should read me a bedtime story now 'cause I'm really tired from all that dancing!

I was up at 4:30 this morning. Early, eh? I played a good amount of World of Warcraft today, too. Zinny is almost level 45! Then he can get the Zapped Giants quest. And then if Lamenth, my dad, will help me with that, then I can get Zorbin's MegaSlicer, which is a cool sword. It has a notch in it. Also I have a Phantom Blade. It is really good. It has a chance-on-hit effect, which is it decreases armor by 120. I am trying to get an icy enchant on it so it looks even cooler. I ate bread and butter for dinner. I swam with the turtle.

Bionicle Bin

I am very tired right now. But I am going to dance with my Grandma! It will be fun, I think. We have not danced for centuries = (a few months).

I got a big bucket of Bionicle Parts, and my dad and I made some Bionicles. I haven't decided names for two of them yet. I haven't thought of names for any of them yet. I am loooking at two right now. One has a tail, two arms and two legs. His tail helps him stand up. And the other has a cool knife, a shield, no tail, but some cool shoulder pads. I'm planning on making a little thing about them, like a movie or a comic.

Bike

I love my bike a lot. It is so cool. It is green! I feel happy when I ride it, except the seat is a little bit too hard. There is nowhere to ride around here, so I just went back and forth in the hall, not very fast, just enough to get the feel of my bike.

I played WoW for a while today. It was fun. I got all four Skullsplitter Fetishes. It was hard to find the Mystics who dropped them.

Today I did a whole bunch of work. First I took books off my Grandmom's desk, which I had taken off before but she put back on this morning. So I had to move the books so my mom and step-dad could move the desk so it wasn't blocking the window and then I had to put the books back which was very tiring. And then I sat around and watched my Mom cleaning my Grandmom's computer, and then I assembled three lamps. And then I cleaned up the big mess. Lots of work, eh?

And then I ate a very hearty dinner. Half a box of macaroni-and-cheese-and-peas and a giant cookies-n-cream ice cream cone. I finished off the entire tub. I am very tired now and my mom should read me a bedtime story now.

Cortello's Riddle

Today I did four quests in World of Warcraft. They were all very fun. First we went to a bridge. The quest was a rhyming riddle:

There is an ornate, well-traveled bridge
East of Deadwind and south of Redridge
Underneath there waits something for you
Some call it a hint, others a clue
There it will lie for endless tomorrows
Biding its time in the Swamp of Sorrows

Isn't that a cool riddle? I like the part about an "ornate, well-traveled bridge, east of Deadwind and south of Redridge." That's cool 'cause it rhymes.

For the second quest we had to kill dragon whelps. Those are small little green floaty dragon things.

And for the third quest we had to collect driftwood. That wasn't too hard. We had to kill a few basilisks and murlocs but it wasn't too hard.

And for the fourth quest, all we had to do was go to some dude in Nethergarde Keep. My mom hit level 41 today!

I designed and built a new bionicle today. I will put a picture of him up tomorrow.

Carrot on a Stick and 43

I got a Carrot on a Stick today in World of Warcraft. It was very very hard. Also I leveled to level 43 -- YAY! Carrot on a Stick was very hard to get. It was in a dungeon and we had to go all the way through to get it and it was all very high levels. Carrot on a Stick increases your mount speed by 3%.

Today. Yay yay 42 yay! I got to 42 today. Also my mom got her mount, yay!

We went to the library today. We got three audio books, two Junie Jones, the "Days of knights and damsels" activity book, and the Lord of the Rings official movie guide.

Also we made two cardboard swords from the Activity Book, and then when my step-dad got home from work, he made me a wooden one! And we plan on making two more - one for him, and one for my friend Fargo who is coming over soon.

I played World of Warcraft for a while today. My mother is almost level 40. Zinny is almost level 42.

I've been reading the Harry Potter books through and through over the last few days. I finished the first one, and I started the second one. I usually read about a chapter or two a day. I'm in chapter 8, on page 72 or 73, in Chamber of Secrets now.

I like to listen to two Harry Potter podcasts. Mugglecast and Pottercast.
They're both very good, they talk about Harry Potter books and movies.

He almost made level 42 today! Not quite, but almost. I did a really hard quest today, it was so hard, I died so many times. We had to get Mokk's Heart. He is a gorilla. There were like 10 gorillas guarding him, all over level 41.

Today I helped my mom kill Bhag'Thera, a 43 elite panther. Now she has to kill Tethis, a 43 elite raptor, and then we get to kill King Bangalosh. He is another elite. And then we can be on the same quest!

Corporal Zinny

I got to Corporal today! Isn't that sweet? Corporal is the one after Private. The next military rank in the game is Sergeant. Woohoo, sounds cool! I can't wait to be one!

I can't wait for my friend Fargo to come over. We're not quite sure what the date will be, but it's sometime in the week of the tenth.

I had a huge dinner tonight. I had stir-fry, an ice cream cone, and an entire PB&B (peanut-butter and banana) sandwich.

I also went to the Wild Animal Park today.
It rainhed so much today. I think it still is.

Scout Yry

I had a good day today. I hurt my leg yesterday, which is too bad. It still kind of aches when I move but it's not too bad. My step-dad got a pretty cool new game called Oblivion. It is very fun. I have a character, I forget the name of the character but I know I have him, he is a wood elf and he has this huge sword and he can use a bow and arrows, and a shield. And I can do magic too. And he's a Knight. I played a lot of World of Warcraft today. I played one of my older characters, Yry. He is Scout Yry. "Scout" is the Horde equivalent of the Alliance "Private." It is the first military ranking.

Ninja

I did some really really hard stuff in World of Warcraft today. The first part wasn't so hard, we just had to kill a lot of ogres. And we had to get some wand from this main named ogre dude, I don't remember his name. It was something like "Something the Something." The second part was where we had to go in this awful place called Stromgarde, and we had to get this Azure Agate and it was so hard! 'Cause only Shamans drop them and they don't drop them often and there are a whole bunch of 40 elites there. So we finally did that and then we stopped.

We cleaned my room a bit today. It looks much better. I can actually walk around in it now. There was a huge pile of toys but not anymore. And then I built a carrying case for my Yu-Gi-Oh cards. It's this silver case, and it has two latches, and when you open those, the Yu-Gi-Oh cards are there. I have five entire decks, and I have six fusion cards. Fusion cards are cards you can only use if you put together two other cards to form that card.

I pulled a muscle in karate today. It still hurts. I had a bath for about an hour.

I watched some new episodes of a funny video podcast called Ask A Ninja. It's a bit violent and there's a little bit of Language, buit it's not that bad and it's VERY funny. It's where these people write in to the Ninja (we don't know his name, he doesn't have a name) and he answers their questions in his own unique way. I'd recommend it if you want a funny podcast!

Warsong

One hundred three Honorable Kills today! (One hundred thirty-three in all.) Six times in Warsong Gulch! Those were my big achievements today in World of Warcraft. I will become Private Zinny, hopefully, by Tuesday.

I went to Karate today. I listened to a story: The Little Lame Prince. I'm helping proof-listen for librivox.

Harry Potter 6/LEGOland

I was listening to Harry Potter 6 on my computer today. The full title is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The reader is cool because he is the actor who played Jeeves in the Jeeves and Wooster TV series - Steven Fry. He's a good reader. He puts lots of emotion into his readings.

I played NO World of Warcraft. Awwww. 'Cause it was down! But according to the patch information, there is going to be weather now, so like it can snow and it can rain and I bet there'll be sand storms too in Tanaris. That is so cool!

I got my photo taken today. I don't know what it's like 'cause I don't have it yet.

I went to LEGOland with my mom yesterday. It was super super super fun! I built a really cool racecar there. It was fun.

Level 40!

Level 40! Level 40! Level 40!

I got to level 40 on Saturday! Woohoo! (My character Zinny, in World of Warcraft)

Level 40 is important to me because 1) I get to wear mail 2) I get a mount and 3) I feel invincible!

I have my mount now. Isn't that sweet? My mount cost about 90 gold. Now I have 6!

Here is a screenshot of me on my mount, Sybar. My mom took it; she is the elf sitting down.

The reason Sybar is yawning is that I pressed the jump button. If you're not moving and you press the jump button, she yawns. But if you're moving, she jumps!

My mom is going to read me a bedtime story now, so goodnight!

Level 39!

Last night I leveled to 39! Wooohoo! Just one more level and I'll have my mount. A mount, in my case, will be a big black sabre cat that increases my speed by 60% in World of Warcraft. I have a spell that allows me to run 30% faster, but 60 is much higher than 30 so it's much better. There is also a much more expensive mount that is like 900 gold but this one is only 90 gold.

I just beat my mom three out of four rounds of Speed, a very fun card game. I am getting really good!

I had a dream last night that I was riding my mount. I will most certainly post a picture of Zinny, my character, when I get my mount. Zinny will be on his mount at the time. My mom leveled her druid, Animala, to 38 today.

Deadly tricks and poster

I like simple days. Today was one.

My grandma is listening to the music from a play that I was in that she's going to play the music for soon, but I'm not in it this time. The music is so happy! It makes me feel happy.

I played World of Warcraft for a lot of time today. While my mom is typing this for me, I'm doing tricks with my LEGO motorcycle man. DEADLY TRICKS. Like front flips, crashes, KAPLOOM.

I had a great day today.

The art teacher at my school gave me a poster today. It's for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. (Awesome game!) It's really cool, shows all the main characters except Ganon.

New Game & Level 37!

I invented a really fun new game today. It involves World of Warcraft, LEGOs, and Lord of the Rings action figures. It is really fun. If I have time I'll videotape it tomorrow. Maybe my mom can videotape it on her camera and I'll maybe post a video of it. I played World of Warcraft today for a very long time with my mom. It was super-dee-douper-dee-douper-dee-fun. I leveled to 37! I have 68 or 67 gold. I need 90 for my mount and I need to level three more times.

New LEGOs

I bought a new LEGO model today, It's called a V-Wing. It's really cool! I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on DVD today. It was good! I also got two whole HUGE boxes of LEGOs from my cousin Daniel. They're really awesome!

I rebuilt most of the body back in October, but then I finished the body and the wings just today. I built it in front of the fireplace. It was very very super fun. I'nm fiddling with it right now.

I played some WoW today with my mom. We are in Dustwallow Marsh.

I ahd the most delicious awesome dinner ever, My mom made awesome soup. It was made of potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, chicken broth, salt, pepper, cream cheese, and grated cheese. Even though I don't like onions I ate it all up!

Banana DNA

I extracted a banana of its DNA in science class today. It was cool! The teacher put some chopped up banana and water in a mixer and she blended it for 15-20 seconds. Then we did a cool mixture. The mixture was basically some water, some alcohol, some salt, and some shampoo. Then we poured the stuff all together with the banana. We extracted the DNA though a coffee filter over a cup, and then we put it into a little vial with alcohol in it and the DNA came to the very top. It looked like little white bubbles. And then i took it out with a paperclip and it looked funny! It looked like saliva!

That was a good day I had. I woke up. My mom made me a good breakfast. She made me a fried egg and toast - yum! Then I went to theater class. It was good. We had pizza for lunch from That Pizza Place. I played pinball and did well. I wish I had my own pinball game.

I had an awesome dinner. It was delicious. My first course was half an avocado, and then I had a huge portion of green beans, then I had two little potatoes, and then I had a cone of ice cream, and then I had a banana, and then I was done!

I have 50 gold in my World of Warcraft game. That is awesome. I need 90 for my mount.

I watched The Sting with my mom and my step-grandma. It was good. It was funny because everybody was tricking everybody.

My character in World of Warcraft got a cool new helmet that is five more armor than the one he had before. Yay! And my rogue in WoW is level 10 and knows duel wield.

Tomorrow I might put a screenshot of Zinny and his cool armor. Also I might put a screenshot my my rogue and her dual wield.

Today was very unfortunate. I was supposed to have theater class, but the teacher's daughter was sick she cancelled class. That made me feel sad.

I tried a soup and I didn't like it. And my mom made me have it for dinner, and since I didn't finish it she's making me have it for breakfast!

My LEGO sphere broke and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Here are some things that happened that aren't unfortunate:
I did an ice-skating performance which wasn't actually on ice with my grandma. It was really fun! My mom video-recorded it.

My mom broke her mop today so we went to go get a new one. I wasn't really excited but I wasn't complaining.

Karate was fine!

My mom and I were watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It's a very funny movie!

I made my room cleaner today with my mom's help! It is very nice now. I found some Tech-Decks!

I learned a new song on the piano today. It's really awesome. If you've beaten "The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker" it's the part where Link reaches out his hand to the King of Hyrule when he's floating up to the surface at the very end after you beat Ganan. It's very very fun to play -- the song and the game!

A piano student this morning came and told me that I should come listen to him playing a song and it just happpened to be the song that I was just describing to you. It was awesome. Then I got all excited and I said ""Teach me teach me teach me!" but then he had to go but he left the music for me on purpose and my mom helped me learn it. If I get good enough at it I'll record it and put it on my blog.

Today I got new karate gear! My mom bought it for me. I got a new cup, and a new mouthguard, and some lovely new handpads! They're on me right now. They feel much better than my old ones because they leave my palms entirely free, and I can put them on either hand. They're the right size, too. My old one were getting worn out and too small.

I got the part of Grandpa Joe in the play of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a very funny role!

My mom and I went outside today for a long time. I played guitar and we brought the pets out. The turtle dug in the ground and buried herself, and the bird just sat in his cage, chirping. The reason we went outside was that it was a very nice lovely day. Also I played with a ball.

We also played World of Warcraft for a long time, and we sat upstairs and listened to a story while we both did handwriting. It's easy to do handwriting while listening to a story; however if you're trying to watch a movie and do handwriting you get all confused about which you want to do more, but when you listen to a story you can do both.

My cat tried to eat my bird today. It was very startling. I was sitting upstairs at my computer and my mom was in her room, and suddenly there was a big crash and the birdcage fell over. I didn't see it but I knew what was happening because there was this big crash -- boom! I rushed downstairs at the speed of light and my mom came out of her room and my step-dad came out too, and the birdcage was on its side and Roger, the bird, was under the paper and there was seed everywhere! And then my stepdad ran upstairs because that's where the cat ran and he grabbed her and threw her outside! As I'm typing this, Roger is chirping away as if nothing had happened whatsoever.

I finished a LEGO thing with my mom today. It's a LEGO train station, and here's a movie of me giving you a tour of it.

I also made a LEGO sphere. I will put a picture up tomorrow. I got the idea from a book I got for Christmas called The Unofficial LEGO Builder's Guide. It is so good! I recommend you get one today, or as soon as possible, or soon. The author writes the book in such an easy way to understand.

I haven't blogged in a long time, so i'm going to make this one an extra-long one.

Today I found a surprise $20 bill in a Christmas card from my grandma. My mom was cleaning out her desk and she found it and put it on the coffee table for me and when I woke up, I saw it! I decided to get some new toys with it so we went to the Toys-r-Us nearby and I got two new toys. I got two new exo-force guys. They're very cool. One's name is Grand Titan and the other doesn't have a name but I just call him 7711 because that's what he has on his sticker. They're both very very cool. When you press on Grand Titan's back, it makes a little cord light up which goes to his laser canon which spins! They are legos. Legos are awesome. So are Bionicles. So, I built them today and I've been playing with them. I'm playing with them right now!

I just went to the beach. It was very very fun. My leg got hurt from walking so much. I brought my light-saber with me and I was showing my mom all the cool moves I know.

Right now I'm eating dinner. My dinner is good. I'm having a home-made burrito. My mom's birthday is in 6 days! I can't wait to know how happy she will be. My birthday is going to be exactly one month after my mom's, which is really cool. I will be ten! And my mom will be thirty-six.

I watched "Napoleon Dynamite" last night, and again today. It is a very funny movie! I like the part when he said, "Tina! Come get some HAM!"

I just started playing a fun sport with my step-dad. It is called racquetball. It makes me feel very sweaty. I like it because you get to whack balls. I also like it because I get to run around!

The court is completely sealed in. Even the door has a cool knob. It's mostly flat. It is circular and you lift up on this little flap and turn it, and then you pull. One of the four walls is made of glass but the ball isn't hard so it won't break the glass.

Today I went to karate summer camp for the first day. I went to a karate class, and then I went bowling. And we were supposed to do laser tag but the people who supervise didn't show up. :( So we went back to the dojo, that's the place where we learn, and we played games for the half-hour that was left. Then I went home and I did a puzzle with my mom. We aren't quite done yet but we're getting there. Like I mentioned in my last post, she is a very good mom.

I woke up at 6:30 this morning, partially because I was so excited about karate camp and partially because my alarm woke me up.

In the morning when I got up I watched some tv. I watched a Yu-Gi-Oh episode and I watched a Pokemon episode and I watched a Futurama episode. I will be ten soon! I am very excited about my birthday! One of my wishes for my birthday is the Lego Star Wars model, the ARK-170.

This is going to be a pretty long post, like the other one that says it's going to be a pretty long post, because I haven't posted for a while.

I read a book not too long ago. I really liked it. My mom got me three more from the library. They're the Encyclopedia Brown series by Donald Sobol. I would recommend them if you are a liker of mysteries. Each mystery is about three or four pages long and there are a lot of mysteries in each book. They're very short and very fun. I recommend getting the first book first, so you can know what's going on and who's who --
"Encyclopedia Brown, Boy Detective". Don't judge Encyclopedia by the cover art -- all of them are wrong. The real Encyclopedia is INSIDE the book in the original illustrations.

I got some new Bionicles lately. They are called
Visorak and are very fun. Also, a while ago, at my karate class, they're having weekly drawings, and I won a drawing and won a bionicle. I have three of six Visorak. I have the green one, Keelerak. I also have the black one, Oohnorak (I don't know how to pronounce that one) and I have the red one, Vohtarak. They're all very cool! They're all the same kind of body shape but they're all very different. Even their little head ridges are different from each other.

I went to Legoland about two weeks ago. It was so fun! My mom took me. She's a very nice mom. I went on something my mom simply refused to go on, Knights' Tournament. And I wasn't tall enough to go on it alone so I got in line and I asked if there was anybody who would go with me, and I found a nice boy who would! It was very fun. We also did something called Lego Mindstorms. We programmed lego robots to do our bidding. We did one of the programs called Mission Mars and we also did something called Robosports. They were both quite fun.

My dad moved from San Diego to Carlsbad, which is so much closer. He's closer to me and I'm closer to him and I get to see him more often.

My grandma and her friend went up to San Francisco for ten days a while ago and she mailed me a robe! It's very nice. I'm wearing it right now.

I can't wait for the new Zelda videogame to come out! I also can't wait for the Bionicle 3 movie, Web of Shadows, to come out.

I went to art camp last week, for five days. It was very fun! I made a bowl, I made a parrot, I made a snail but I think it broke in the kiln which is a thing in which you bake your clay. I also made a box for my dad's birthday which was on last Monday.

I'm going to karate camp for five days starting tomorrow. It'll be very fun and I'll need to wake up very early every day so my mom can drive me there.

I cleaned up my room today. I found a book called Wizard Craft. There are a lot of crafts and things in there that you can make like you could make a sorcerer's hat or a feather and jewel turban or a wizard's robe, and here's one of the best ones -- you could make crystal candy which looks very delicious and I might make sometime! It also shows you how to read palms and how to read tea-leaves.

My Mom and my Grandma just went to Iowa a couple of days ago but they are back now.

I played my guitar for a while today. I made up stuff. I made up a kind of cool riff! I listened to music and played and tried to figure out something, but I was unsuccessful.

This first one is of the model Skipjack Submarine that I built. It's a nuclear-powered sub. The little decals we had trouble putting them on 'cause we'd never done it before but we got them on all right.

And this next one is of a battle droid that I made from bionicle parts and he's very very cute. I did not use any instructions; I made it up from scratch:

We moved not very long ago, so what you're seeing in the background is not actually where I am posting from. We still aren't quite moved in yet but we are moved in enough so that we can do some fun stuff.

We rented a very fun game today! It is called "The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age" and it also says on the cover "The Most Exciting RPG since Final Fantasy!" It's very fun! I'm already in Moria. I'd recommend this game for lord of the Rings fans. It's very fun. It's rated "T for Teen" but I can't really see any stuff that's too bad, just swords and bows and arrows. We had a hard time choosing a game to rent today because we had a free coupon for any game at Hollywood Video. There were so many good things. We had a choice between 1) Harry Potter 3 prisoner of Azkaban 2) Harry Potter 2 the chamber of secrets 3) Animal Crossing 4) Lord of the Rings the Third Age and 5) Lord of the Rings 3 Return of the King.

We did stuff in my room to make it look better, apparently. We watched All Creatures Great and Small. We actually watched two episodes of three.

I'm going to go now because my Mom needs to read me a bedtime story so I can go to bed.

There is a show that I just heard about and like very much called MegaMan NT warrior. The NT stands for Network Transmission. There have been two shows recorded in the TiVo so far. One of them is about this evil netnava guy whose name is FlashMan. And he kept using neon lights and he used FlashLight too, once. Of course MegaMan came in to save the day. He almost giot delleted because his data was breaking up. And then MegaMan's friend Role came in to help too.

The second episode was about Lan's friend Yie. Lan is MegaMan's Netoperator And Role's net operator is Lan's friend Melu. MegaMan was a present from Lan's father to Lan. Though his body may be small, it is packed with mountains of strength inside. MegaMan was designed by Lan's father. MegaMan acts like an older brother to Lan, joking with him, teasing him, alerting him to trouble, and even scolding him.

We watched movies today because we are sick. My mom and I both have a cold. We watched Some Like It Hot. It's pretty good. It's funny. The two male musicians dress up as girls which is pretty funny!

We watched A Mighty Wind and Best In Show, too. A Mighty Wind is funny! It's overall a parody of folk music. There is a band in it called The Folksmen. They do a song called Old Joe's Place. There's a busted neon sigh that flashes "E__ A_ _OE'S"

Best in Show was pretty good. It was about a dog show, and it was made by the same cast who made A Mighty Wind.

We went to the museums today down in Balboa Park. It rained almost all day but when we were outside of the car and the museums it was not raining. We went to the Aerospace Museum which is one of my favorite museums. We saw lots of cool planes and there was a special exhibit loaned by another museum and it was an Apollo Command Module. Behind the exhibit there was a little tv that shows the astronauts doing their first 2-person spacewalk. And the way they sounded. They were very calm.

There was a simulation where you get to fly what seems to be a Wright Brothers plane and you get to fly it in the simulation. First they had you take off, then they make you go way high in the air so you can get some altitude and then what you do is go straight down and then pull up and you do a flip! I did that two times. And then they make it so your engine isn't working and you have to land. I landed it!

We went to the Automotive Museum. I saw a really nice car. And it was a DeLorean. And it was beautiful, I tell you! I also saw a nice trailer, which was more like a camper than a trailer but that's what they called it. It had nice velvety seats and nice velvety curtains and it was a nice color of wood inside.

Yesterday Fargo and I made a whole lot of movies. One of them was a Toy War with Bionicles/Yu-Gi-Oh and Lord of the Rings. Then there was one where we were duelling with Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Today I came home from my Dad's. I came home and I played with my friend. He beat me in a game of Duel Monsters -- that's from Yu-Gi-Oh. I have some very good cards. I have Pyramid of Light, a very strong card that destroys Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Teleia. It also has the ability to destroy all monsters on the field. I also have six cards, all very important ones. Here they are:

2 Blue Eyes White Dragons
1 Blue Eyes Toon Dragon
Toon World, which lets me activate Blue Eyes Toon Dragon
and finally, Polymerization, which lets me fuse all of them together into Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

As you can see, I like Blue Eyes!

Next I have Moisture Creature. If you tribute summon this monster by offering three monsters on the field as a tribute, destroy all spell and trap cards on your opponent's side of the field.

Did I mention that if I sacrifice Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, I can summon Blue Eyes Shining Dragon, a VERY powerful card! As far as I know, it is the only card that can defeat Pyramid of Light, which I have!

I have two Monster Reborns -- select 1 monster card from either your own or your opponent's graveyard and place it on the field under your control in attack or defense position. (face up) This is considered a Special Summon.

I also have a card called Dark Hole. This is a very powerful card. It destroys all monsters on the field.

These are not all of my cards, they are just some of the best that I have.

I am borrowing a video camera from my Grandma. It is charging up so I can use it in the morning. I hope it will work! I am going to use it tomorrow if it works. I will make a BIONICLE MOVIE!!!

This is a card game that my dad and I invented. You may play it if you want. It helps if you know the story of lord of the rings. You just need a regular deck of cards with two jokers.

Battle of Helms Deep: (Card Game)

Regular deck of cards with two jokers.

Overview: 2 player game. Red cards are the good guys. Black cards are the bad guys.

Object of the game:

Black player attacks and tries to break through the outer defenses
and destroy all red archers. If this occurs, black wins the game.

Red tries to defend until all black cards have been destroyed. If this occurs, red
wins the game.

Set up for red player:

Separate the deck into 3 piles: hearts, diamonds and black cards.

Shuffle the hearts and deal out 7 cards face up as the outer wall of defense.
Deal out the six remaining heart card, face down, behind and in between the outer defense cards.
These two walls represent the walls of Helms deep.

Shuffle the diamonds + one joker added in (Gandalf). Deal out 3 piles of four cards each.
These are Red players archers.
Set aside the two remaining cards, face down. These are red players spies.

Set up for black player:

Shuffle all the black cards + one joker added in (influence of Saruman).
Place the deck face down in front of you.

How to play:

Red player turns over the top card of each of his archer piles. Red may only use three archers at a time
Black player turns over three cards to use as his assault force.

Red goes first. Red may use only one of his archers in a turn. If any (one) of his archers is higher than
any (one) of the overturned black cards. The black card is removed from the game (sklitch!!!) and replaced
by another black card from the black deck.

If none of the red archers are higher than the upturned black cards, red cannot play during that turn.

If the successful archer is the same value as the upturned black card that is its targer, both the archer
and the black card are removed from the game (double sklitch!!!) The black card is replaced as usual, and
the red archer is replaced by the card directly underneath it. If there are no more red archers in any given
pile, sorry charlie, you are out of luck and down to two archers.

Black player goes second. He chooses a weak card in the outer red wall and attacks it with one of his upturned cards.
If the black card is higher, the red card is removed from the game (crumble). Once any two outer wall cards have been
removed, red player may replace those cards with his spy cards, face down. Any card of the inner wall, may not
be attacked until the two cards of the outer wall(including spies) in front of it have been removed. Once the two
outer wall cards and the inner wall cards behind it have been removed, black may enter Helms Deep,and begin attacking
the closest archer pile.

Play continues until one or the other side runs out of cards, thus loosing the game.

Magical exceptions:

When red player upturns a joker(Gandalf) as one of his archers, the three upturned black cards are removed from the game +
the top three cards of the black deck are also removed from the game.

When black player upturns a joker (influence of Saruman) as one of his Orcs, the three upturned red archers are removed
from the game + the three replacement archers are also removed. If there are only two or one archer piles, 2 cards are removed
in the case of on archer pile, or 4 cards removed in the case of two archer piles.

In World of Warcraft today, my mom started a new character. She is a Tauren. My new character, a Tauren too, is level 6! And my mom is level 5! I played a little bit with Zinny today. I went to Ironforge, where the auction house is, and I bid on some shoulder things. I hope I win them!

I broke my arm yesterday. It was an interesting experience. I went to the hospital as soon as it happened. My uncle made a temporary splint out of paper bags and plastic bags, which was very nice of him. I have a temporary cast on and a blue sling, which is good because blue is my favorite color. I'm going back to the doctor's on Friday to get a check up. If my bones are lined up correctly, they will give me a real permanent cast.

In World of Warcraft today, I grew to LEVEL 19, YAY! My mom is level 18, my pet is level 18, too. We did a hard quest where we had to get food samples from a Furbolg camp, and to do that we had to kill Furbolgs, which were hard. I kept dying almost all the time. And then when we did that we had to get Fruit, Nut, and Grain samples. Hard. Then we had to mix the Fruit, Nut, and Grain samples in a mixing bowl, and then we had to place it by the fire, and then the Furbolgs came and ate it and got calm, and then the guy who was making them angry and red came out because he was angry that we were making them peaceful, and then we killed him no problem. We also figured out about the Buzzbox Secret.

I am playing a good game called Bejeweled 2. It isn't better than Bejeweled the first one, but it's cooler, I think. Here is a link to it, if you wish to go there: Bejeweled 2.

I got a book for Christmas. I finished it today. It was "Jedi Apprentice: The Rising Force" (subject: Star wars) I got the next book in the series, called "Jedi Apprentice: The Dark Rival" (subject: Star wars)

I played World of Warcraft yesterday. My character named Zinny is level 18, almost 19. He is a hunter, he has a pet named Bytr.

When I was roaming around on the internet I went to Lego.com and downloaded this really cool program called Lego Digital Designer. It lets you design almost anything you wish. It is awesome! Here is a link to the website where I got it, just in case you're interested:

We rented a videogame today. It is "Zelda 4 swords" for gamecube. I played a little bit of World of Warcraft today. I traded Fargo a Sam action figure from Lord of the Rings for a lightsaber-holder. I didn't have a very good one before. For instance, if you go upside down it doesn't come off your belt instantly! We jumped rope and we used our lightsabers.

I played World of Warcraft today. I grew to level 17. I just killed some pretty easy monsters and then I was there! It was very fun. I think it was yesterday I saw an ad for World of Warcraft on a computer at CompUSA.

The day before yesterday I built a little lego car. Here is a short movie of it:

Since you have seen the movie, you would know, or maybe not, that the gray things on the sides are balancer things. Because if it fell over on its side they would be there and they would stop it from falling down completely. And they are also made out of hard rubber in the car that I would be dreaming of if I actually made a real one and they would be springy so you would spring back and be on your wheels again.

We collected Grell Earrings in the game. When we handed in that quest it was worth 900 experience which was pretty good!

I played with my friends today. We played outside mostly, trying to think of what to do. We played Hide and Seek. I drank a wierd vegetable drink that looked brown and disgusting but was actually delicious.

I got a fish today. I named it Eleanor Scales. I played some World of Warcraft today too. I didn't do much in it, just walked around. Fought some wimpy monsters.

I have a new needlepoint thing that my mom made for me! It is of a Pikachu. That's a Pokemon. I am working on the outline. I already did the eyes. I am working on the ear right now, too. Here is a picture of me working on it:

I got a new shirt. It is a little bit long on the sleeves, so hopefully my Mom can make it fit me sometime soon. It's what my character in World of Warcraft has -- a stretchy tight shirt. And it's red.

We went to the art museum. It was fun. We went with my second cousin, Chloe. She is nice! We went to the plant museum. I liked the lemon-smelling plant.

I played my pokemon game called pokemon leafgreen. It was fun! I got farther. I got a cool thing that lets me fly to any city that I've been to already. There are still three more places that I have not explored. There is a place that is almost entirely surrounded by water, there is a place that IS surrounded by water, and there is a place that you go up a road and you need different badges to get to. Those are all the places that I have not gone to yet in this part of the game. My mom has a character in the game too. We traded some pokemon. She doesn't like the pokemon cartoon but she likes the game.

I built a talk-box today with my dad. It was kind of hard. We spent all day shopping for the parts: Two Jacks, A box, a horn-driver, a switch (but the wrong one), a tube, and some pipe. Actually it wasn't all day, It was about five hours. Its pretty cool!!!! I am going to go break it in. There is a song called "wearing a raincoat" by They Might Be Giants that has a cool talk box in it. Talk box makes your voice distorted sometimes.

My dad has a very disgusting looking pizza with chicken, pineapples, and BBQ sauce. ;-O It looked soooo disgusting that I didn't even dare take a bite, It was that horrible looking.

We played World of Warcraft today, me and my mom. We went someplace completely different, the eastern kingdoms. I got a new sword, it's 2-handed, it's really good, it does 20 to 30 damage. I am level 14 now. My pet is level 12, I think. My mom is level 13. It's a run! We explored the Fargodeep mine, which was wayyyyyyyy too easy. We explored the jasperload mine which was kind of hard since I ran through the camps on a bloodthirsty rampage but then I retreated and almost died. I guess that's what you get for a bloopdthirsty rampage. After that, the Jasperload mine wasn;t too hard. We found a new type of spider called the Mine Spider. It wasn't too hard. But it looked very dangerous, all black with red spot on the back. We went through the Wetlands which was sort of hard. My mom died two time. I just kept running on the road. I explored Ironforge. Which is a cool place. To get there, we had to go through the Wetlands then we had to go through some supposedly orc-infested tunnels but there was nothing there. We took a ship from Auberdine to Menethil. We also explored Stormwind!

It is raining so hard where I am! I love it so much! I hope it snows in the mountains, but I probably can't go because I don't have the right gear.

I wish I had World of Warcraft here, but since I am with my dad for a while I don't. Maybe we can go out and buy it today.

I have a shorter post today than usual because my posts are all about world of warcraft, but because I don't have it here right now, I don't have such a long post. My dad has the website so I will try to make a poetry piece. Here it is:

In World of Warcraft today I played longer than my mom. Quite a while longer. My pet grew to level 8, I grew to level 12, and my mom is level 10. I took a hippogriff today. That's part horse, part eagle. It was very fun. Then I took a ship back. I could have ridden but I decided to do that instead. We slayed the giant spider Lady Sathrah. She was very hard. She gave us a silvery spinarette. A nice person helped us fight the spider. I was the highest of them all. He was level 9. I've been playing the longest with that character.

I built part of my treehouse today. I had lunch with a friend in it.

We read another chapter in my new book. "Junie B., First Grader: BOO! And I MEAN it!" It is a funny funny book and I recommend it very much. There are misspellings which is funny and there are words that don't exist like "shreddle". That is in the book!

I went to karate today. I had fun. We did a type of sparring. If you don't know what sparring is, it's a type of drill. If you don't know what a drill is, it's a type of exercise.

In World of Warcraft today I played for a couple of hours and I got a pet in my game. I learned how to feed it, I learned how to revive it from being dead, I can call it, he can eat meat and fish. He is a Nightsaber, that's like a saber-tooth tiger, only black. The different character I have in the game, Nsx, can fish. My pet's name is Bytr. I like World of Warcraft so much! My mother's character, Ramona, is a warrior in the game. She can use a shield, which I can't. Since I am a hunter, I can train animals. My character's name is Zinny and he can fish now. I am pretty far in the game. My mom and I went to a new place in the game called the Oracle Glade. It was very hard. I died. My mom ran. My pet survived even though he was level 6 and the bad guys were like level 9. I summoned him as soon as I resurrected myself. Then we went and killed some Gnarlpine Mystics and a special Gnarlpine guy whose name I don't remember but I remember his title -- Dream-eater. That's when my pet died. I killed the bad guy, I got a gem, I completed a quest. My mom and I went southwest. We got to a new spot which I had been to before once. I found it but I was never in it. We met a new type of Nightsaber called a nightsaber elder. All the other ones are listed here:

Those are all I can think of. There might be more but those are all I can think of right now.

For my big project for 2005, I would like to make a lightsaber. I have what looks like the inside of one and I might be able to make something that isn't very dangerous but is a little bit like it. I have a thing that I got for Christmas that shows me the inside of it.

Hey it's me again. My mom is reading me a good book called "The Wide Window". It's by Lemoney Snickett. The kids' Aunt Josephine left them a note with several grammatical errors. The grammatical errors add up to make a secret code in the note.

I have a guide to the Elvish Tongue, not tongue as in the one in your mouth -- speech, language. I got it from the internet. We downloaded a picture of Legolas for the cover.

I went to the Wild Animal Park yesterday. I played in the fake snow, I slid down the hill, and I threw snowballs at the assistants. I am serious! It was fun.

i figured out about this cool game called "world of warcraft". it is a very cool game. it is an online rpg and it is very fun. you can be the bad guys or the good guys. i am not quite sure what all the bad guys are but i know what all the different choices for good guys are. there is the night elf, there is the gnome, there is the dwarf, and there is the human. and both bad guys and good guys you can choose female or male. i am a level 3 night elf hunter named zinny. if you're wondering where i got the name zinny, i made it up.
